On Ash Wednesday, those who would like to receive the Imposition of Ashes are invited to receive the historic rite from a Trinity pastor anytime between 7 :00- 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity Room. The Imposition of Ashes dates back to Biblical times, and serves as an outward expression of repentance, a reminder of our mortality as a consequence of sin, and an assurance of the forgiveness won by Christ on the cross. The Imposition of Ashes will be accompanied by a brief five minute service of confession and absolution. Both individuals and families are invited to attend.
